You've got to realize that any lady on a soap is devoting her life to it, 24/7.

You have Showtime, you have AMC, you have all of these, you know, incredible networks that are now bringing forth their product without the handcuffs, if you will, of trying to sell soap to the entire country.

We've all but abandoned soaps in our own culture. I lost my beloved 'Guiding Light' in 2009, and 'One Life to Live' was just the latest casualty to fall beneath the programming axes.

Life goes on, and I'm moving on to the next thing, but I hope the soaps that are still running will thrive. They have millions of loyal viewers.

I'll probably have to open a recording studio at some point because I won't be able to pay the bills.

I started in this business on soap operas.

Soap opera wouldn't be my first choice, but at this point in my life, I would consider a soap. It would allow me to act and still do other things with my life.

For the most part, I don't like people who soapbox.

I've turned down soap and deodorant commercials - it wasn't my route.
