Fashion is very tough, and we shouldn't forget that before designers were money-makers, they were artists.

I now believe that major labels can only work with people who care more about fame and money than the quality of the art they produce.

Artists need support, time and money to develop their ideas, and if people rip stuff off, you don't have to be that brilliant to figure out that you're ultimately going to affect the end product.

We don't know what the next generation of art is going to look like. We're kind of making it up as we go along. Not unlike the tech industry.

Much good art got made while money ruled; I like a lot of it, and hardship and poverty aren't virtues. The good news is that, since almost no one will be selling art, artists - especially emerging ones - won't have to think about turning out a consistent style or creating a brand. They'll be able to experiment as much as they want.

Fashion is not art. Never.

I think fashion and artistry go hand in hand.

What's becoming very obvious to me is that fashion is art.

Artists change how we see the world - and that can have value in the way people do business.
