Everything's got space between it, the planets, trees, your eyes. Your eyes get too close together, it's a whole different world. You can lose perspective.

We see parts of each other, and we put them together. But if I want to see you in totality, you need to move away; we need space between us. Across the street, I can see all of you at once, but then I also see this huge vista of space surrounding you, coming in and compressing you.

In real life, that's how we're moving around. We look at things while we're walking and moving and turning around. We stare at objects in the world.

There's a balance in my life. There's reality, and there's the part that looks really glamorous, but we're all just people in the end.

As I get older, I get smaller. I see other parts of the world I didn't see before. Other points of view. I see outside myself more.

I can't see as well as I used to. Which is actually convenient because everything I see is in extremely soft focus! I think that's God's little gift to me.

I always have a different way of looking at things.

Some people say they feel very small when they think about space. I felt more expansive, very connected to the universe.

I have a feeling of complete balance. The sea, the house, the loneliness, the light. Everything is clearer. Much more precise. I have the feeling that I am living on a limit, and I'm crossing that limit sometimes.
