When I was a kid, I would be watching TV shows like, you know, like 'Get Smart' and be like, 'That's what being an adult is.'

I feel like my life has always been the 'Hey Look at Me Show.' I'm not apologetic about that.

My goal when I make my show is to make a show for women. I don't make a show for men.

It's always exciting to explore adult roles when the vast majority of viewers that have seen me on TV know me from 'Glee,' from something of a different tone.
