When my father passed away, he had his organs donated. In that painful moment, I was deeply comforted knowing that my father would be able to give others a second chance at life. That is why I encourage everyone to sign up to be a donor.

The gift that has been given to me says much about our capacity for great compassion and generosity, and I hope it sends an inspiring message to others about the importance of organ donation.

I am very grateful for the opportunities I've had and feel I have a duty to repay my good fortune through philanthropic endeavors that expand the reach of human possibility and compassion.

I think sometimes all the charities are doing is mopping up the blood. It's a shame.

But most importantly, we can all be donors. It does not matter how old you are, your race, where you live; all of us can give the gift of life.

Those of us who are blessed, we owe it to our fellow citizens and folks who we are around to do something special for them.
