There are so few good comedy sequels. The only one in recent memory that's good is '22 Jump Street.' It's a hard genre.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
Action comedy, if you can get it right, it is, for me, a particularly brilliant genre. It really is.
If you get a good comedy once a year, man, that's pretty good. I may be pickier than some, but still, there aren't that many movies that are really, truly, honestly that funny.
Good comedy films, if you listen to the score, the music is not trying to be funny. It's always, in a way, underscoring the tragedy and struggle of the main character.
I already have two movies in the can, low-key, which are 'Vincent-N-Roxxy' and 'Keanu' with Key and Peele, which is my first comedy, and it's going to be super dope, definitely funny. They're so great, and they've been such life coaches to me.
Ah, 'The Departed' is really good.
Comedy is not my first go-to sort of genre.
Comedy has been so good to me.
'The Dark Knight,' 'The Rocketeer' and definitely the first 'Superman' movie by Richard Donner are the best. I tend to be softer in my judgment about what's a bad movie - I don't think anyone intends to make a bad movie, and sometimes it just doesn't click for some reason.
I am a fan of sequels even though they are inevitably awful.
Second movies are great because you can drop into them, and it doesn't really have a beginning on it, particularly in a traditional way. You can just tear into it.
