In the U.K. the far Right is a stain on society and there is a cultural resistance to it.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
In any society, there will be the whole spectrum of views. You will get the extremists on the far right and also the far left.
I can't remember who it was who advocated that you should march with the left and dine with the right but I've often concurred, taking the view that I personify the great tolerance of Britain by consenting to being regally entertained. Besides, there is a degree of truth in the view that while the left are worthier, the right are wittier.
As the U.S., much of Europe, and the U.K. shift toward the political right, the rhetoric grows more insular, defensive, and protective.
The left sees nothing but bigotry and superstition in the popular defense of the family or in popular attitudes regarding abortion, crime, busing, and the school curriculum.
It can be tough to find areas where Left and Right can agree. Consider the well-being of children: Americans often disagree about how to raise kids, how to educate them, even what to feed them.
The Left is doing to America what it has done to almost everything it has deeply influenced - the arts, the university, religion, culture, minorities, Europe: ruining it.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.
My audience consists mainly of people who already recognize how bad this culture is, and I want to push them to become more radical. It doesn't really matter to me if they are Left or Right.
The right is so reactionary it goes nowhere.
In the U.S the right is very wide. From Neo con's to almost Anarchist.
