I never thought I could model, and I certainly never thought about acting. It's just something that happened to me.

Modelling, it's being an artist as well. It's just being a silent artist. It takes a lot of self-control and a lot of discipline.

Maybe there's some kind of modeling that can be tedious, like catalogue modeling, but there's a kind of modeling, with runways or working with Richard Avedon, that's not very far from acting. Besides the fact that you don't have a partner to react to, the body language is the same.

Modelling is only about the look. In acting, it's the feel that matters.

When you are modelling, you are creating a picture, a still life, perhaps something like a silent film. You convey emotion but you are only using your body.

The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modeling is the opposite of real. It's being fake in front of the camera.

Modeling isn't boring.

Modeling is a lonely business.

Acting, it's very different. It's obviously very different and a lot more difficult than the modeling world I came from.

Every actor is a model to a certain extent, since they have to do so much press.
