My faith is the grand drama of my life. I'm a believer, so I sing words of God to those who have no faith.

The Christian community latched onto a lot of my music, because there were a lot of things about my struggle they related to. But I didn't really want to come out and be identified as a Christian, because I didn't want to be a hypocrite, because my life wasn't right.

I still have all the faith and love for my music and yet I'm still playing places for kids.

I recognize that every role I play, I'm not going to play someone that has a ministry or that is a Christian, and I don't think that's what God has called me to do. The gift and talent that He's given me as an actor, director, producer is to entertain, sometimes to inform, most times to inspire.

I never wanted to really make a career out of doing Christian music exclusively, but I love it to my core. I love music. I love what I'm doing now.

I'm associated with gospel music in the minds of millions of people.

I listen to Christian music.

What I want to do, is play music for somebody who believe in me.

My music is the spiritual expression of what I am - my faith, my knowledge, my being.

I'm not only a Christian, but I'm a pastor of a church.
