Most TV shows don't reward you for paying attention.

But a lot of shows, they pose questions and they give you a puzzle where there's no solution.

I had the idea for the show like a year and a half, two years ago. And it was all about the things that I didn't like about TV. I was trying to create a positive solution for it. And it actually worked.

I've seen a lot of shows, but I can't possibly cram in everything that I'd like to, and it's exhausting trying to.

If you get into a Broadway show and it doesn't work, you're a failure. And if it does work, you may be stuck for who knows how long. It just doesn't sound great to me!

And generally the shows I'm in fail really big.

When you're not the lead on a series, you work intermittently, even if you're in every episode.

I never want to play a show where it feels overly programmed, processed, and all that. For anybody that comes to one of our shows, the goal for me is to make sure that's their show. That nobody else is going to see that show ever again. You know what I mean? I try to make it different every day.

Not watching TV gets me in a lot of trouble in my household because my wife and daughter have a lot of shows they like to watch.
