I think the rich will eventually have to cave in too, because the economic situation around the world is not gonna tolerate the United States being on top forever.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
The United States is going to be a rich country, it is going to be prosperous, but it is not going to be able to take the lead in the next phase of global economic development.
But the fact is, most people are not going to be rich someday.
There's a wealth gap that is happening, and that is all over the world, you know? The rich are getting richer and holding a higher percentage of money or wealth that's out there.
I don't mind the rich getting richer, but the poor shouldn't be getting poorer, and there should be more people moving into the middle class.
We face a dilemma because although everybody is better off than they've ever been at any time in our history, we've also got the biggest gap between the rich and the poor that we've ever had, and we've potentially got a planet which is going to go bust any day.
By 2035, there will be almost no poor countries left in the world. Almost all countries will be what we now call lower-middle income or richer.
What I'm really worried about is war. Will the former rich countries really accept a completely changed world economy, and a shift of power away from where it has been the last 50 to 100 to 150 years, back to Asia?
The rich will do anything for the poor but get off their backs.
If we have wealth, it will be protected from inflation and possibly even enhanced in value.
We are looking at a future where to a first approximation, everyone is wealthy.
