Animals in general have always been my passion, project, crusade - whatever you want to call it! The ocean is such a huge, beautiful thing that I feel like we all take for granted.

I gave my beauty and my youth to men. I am going to give my wisdom and experience to animals.

I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales - sentient life - insects, reptiles.

My children and grandchildren loved the secret servicemen and women that served us. I was honoured that they thought I was important enough to protect.

I love my country, and the mental and physical demands of the Navy SEALs was what I had been training for my whole life growing up in Montana.

I am honored to have served as our great nation's first National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. I will continue to serve as Ambassador Emeritus. And I will make good on my Ambassadorial promise to my wife to stop playing the 'Fanfare' every time I walk into or out of a room.

Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I've devoted my life to trying to improve their lives.

I have the most beautiful souls in my life supporting me and helping me to follow my dreams. I love them more than I can ever express in words.

I just want to reflect the respect I have for animals.

For those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, we are grateful that such men and women were among us. For those who continue to serve, we honor their commitment. For those who return to civilian life, we honor their service.
