I am always happy up a ladder with a paintbrush in my hand. And I wish I had more time to spend in the garden - not least because I get good ideas for writing when I'm out there.

But who can paint like Nature? Can imagination boast, amid its gay creation, hues like hers?

I love creative people.

I make photographs and still make photographs of the natural environment. It's a love because that was part of my life before I was involved in photography.

I love the creative process and being able to build something out of nothing.

I've always loved painting and drawing. I wish I'd developed it more and exhibited.

Some people like to paint trees. I like to paint love. I find it more meaningful than painting trees.

Being creative is my idea of heaven. I'm just incredibly fortunate that I can do it in artwork. Watercolor is what I started out with. What I love about watercolor is that a lot of happy accidents occur.
