I don't really like to play live. I don't like to be on stage. I feel very self-conscious.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I think generally playing live is a crap idea. So much of stage work is the presentation of personality, and I've never been interested in that.
I'm like a twenty-two-year-old kid in a new band trying to get noticed and break through, because the vast majority of people have never seen me play live.
The stage is my comfort zone, and playing live is what I've always wanted to do. It's why I want to do two hundred dates a year. I wouldn't feel that way if I were nervous onstage.
Once you step on that stage, to me, that's where I feel most comfortable - performing live. So that's something would do each and every day of my life if I could.
I do love live performing, but I'm not a stand-up naturally, and I don't like the lifestyle of working just in the evenings at clubs and stuff - not a natural gig-er.
I don't do anything specific for the stage. I'm just myself. I can't stand still for five seconds. I'm normally quite active, so that just comes out on stage. If I see people react to me and my music, I just have to give back and express myself.
I enjoy theatre tremendously, and there's nothing like a live performance.
Performing live actually thrills me. Just get me a stage, get me a mic, and I'm going to be happy.
Live stand-up is my thing. I love being on stage and just messing around.
I don't really feel any different when I get up on stage.
