Charity fundraisers are nothing new to me. In the past, I have taken part in ski races for hospitals, walks for breast cancer, and long distance bike rides for geriatric care.

I tend to do golf charity things because it's much safer and you don't get much chance of a broken arm or leg.

I like to try to give something back to the community because I feel fortunate for how I was raised and how my life turned out. Each year, with the help of my brother, Grant, we run a charity golf tournament to raise money for the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy.

We went around and looked and talked to a lot of foundations with those charities and decided upon the Children's Hospital. They had a golf tournament at the time, but it was a small event that didn't raise a significant amount of money.

I feel that the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life is to be associated with UNICEF.

There have been so many great tournaments that I've been privileged to see, and people paid me to go watch, that I'm awfully grateful for it.

I won all the blue ribbons for canning at the state fair.

I open events for museums and I do charity work and photography.

I was bribed into starting swimming with the promise of sweets and by being told that you can win medals. My mum had given me a bag of medals which she had won when she was young, so the idea of winning medals was very exciting.
