When I was in sixth grade, I wanted to become a priest.

I decided to give up the idea of being a priest before I decided I wanted to be an actor. I considered it for a couple of weeks, really. I'm a young Catholic, do you know what I mean. You're going to consider it.

I wanted to be a Priest at one point. I was pretty religious. I was an altar boy, and I was good at it. Then, I started meeting girls and I'm like 'You know, maybe I shouldn't be a Priest.'

I was brought up a Catholic and I was quite fervent, because I was sent to a convent school.

That was my aspiration, so I was there in a seminary with just boys who were studying to be priests. Pretty rigorous schooling; we never got home, we stayed there all year.

I considered becoming a priest very seriously. I wanted to travel the world. By the time I turned 16, I realized I was only in it for selfish reasons. And, more importantly, I didn't want to sacrifice the ladies!

While I was in college becoming a good Catholic I was also becoming a writer - one haunted by Catholicism.

I was an altar boy. My mother wanted me to be a priest. I am very Christian and Catholic... I'm very faithful.
