I think Robbie Williams is an utter and complete prat. His last record was a pile of rubbish.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I don't want to be nasty but let's just say Robbie Williams is no Freddie Mercury.
I think Bruno Mars is a great example of a great voice and classic songwriting with a twist that makes it contemporary. I think he's done a great job of it. I think Katy Perry has undeniable songs for what she does, for that pop market. And, if we're talking in the truly pop market, I would say those two.
If you ever want to know why I'm not on a record label, look at 'The X Factor!' Honestly, of all the people that strive to break barriers in music and do good things and write great lyrics, not one of them would ever pass the first round on any of these competitions.
Solo artists are generally totally insane. Elton John? Slightly eccentric. George Michael? He's mad as custard.
I like Simon Cowell - look at how many great artists have come out of the U.K. because of him.
We've gotta give Richard Williams a lot of credit - to give us two number one champions is a phenomenal feat.
I rate Morrissey as one of the best lyricists in Britain. For me, he's up there with Bryan Ferry.
I think Phil Collins is one of the most underrated musicians, singers, performers - he is absolutely amazing, I think, and I think he's probably got a bit of a rough ride occasionally because he became so mainstream and so popular.
I listen to Mark Chestnutt and think he's a great singer - and he really does good material.
I wouldn't know Robbie Williams if I fell over him.
