Every song is different.

Sometimes it's nice to have a song that can be taken more then one way, so it can be interpreted differently.

Sometimes the magnetism of a song is impossible to ignore, and it demands that it be sung in a certain way.

Each song has its own life.

When you write a song you have an idea of how it should be sung but it doesn't work out that way if someone else records it.

So it's not so much that I set out to do something different, it's just that the songs themselves require their own individual voice and attention.

Every song is like a painting.

Every song, the title dictates the architecture of the song.

There are as many ways to write songs as there are songs.

Traditionally, songwriters can't sing. And that holds true in my case, also.
