But with Special Operations missions kept under tight wraps, Americans have little understanding of where their troops are deployed, what exactly they are doing, or what the consequences might be down the road.

As we are all aware, Special Operations Forces, SOF, are playing an increasingly essential role as we continue to fight and, more importantly, win the war on terror.

Secret operations are essential in war; upon them the army relies to make its every move.

Before they deploy, they train for the specific operations, but there is a danger that the Army is not retaining the core of its full capabilities.
