Democrats have laid out a program that, if adopted, would make us independent of Middle Eastern oil in ten years, and create a new economy especially for those in rural America. Our program invests in clean energy alternatives and provides energy assistance for those in need.

I'm of the opinion that the Democrats have the ideas I agree with more often than not. Reenergizing the middle class and giving people a break.

What I'd like to do is be able to work with Democrats to reform current entitlement programs for future generations, grandfathering all the grandparents.

I wish that the Democrats would put some effort into Social Security reform, illegal immigration's reform, tax reform, or some of the other real issues that are out there.

What I'm hoping to do is see Democrats get elected. That's what I'm trying to contribute to.

I'm happy to work with Democrats. After all, they have to represent their districts just as I have to represent mine.

Democrats get credit for money coming into the state, but I do a lot of heavy lifting.

My challenge to all Republicans is to invent the systems and approaches to help people help themselves.

Democrats are fighting for a new direction that includes protecting Social Security as well as making healthcare affordable, bringing down the high cost of gasoline, and making higher education more accessible for all Americans.
