I visit India a lot.

I studied secondary education.

I spent the first five years of my life in Punjab, India, and then moved to New York.

And then a great thing in my life was going to India.

I went to Kerala in India, to learn Ayurveda, which was fantastic.

After college, I went to England and studied for a couple years.

My dad was in the Indian Army. He died in a terrorist attack in Kashmir in 1994. After that, my mum and I settled in Noida. I went to Delhi Public School in Noida and then to Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi University. It was in college that I realised I wanted to be on the stage and in front of the camera.

I was born in India - but never really lived there.

I schooled in Himachal Pradesh. I had taken up science and, initially, wanted to become a doctor. There are few career options for students of science though, so I shifted to Delhi and decided to try theater instead.

I went to a very elitist, snobbish, expensive education in India, and it almost killed me. I was all set to be a diplomat, teacher, doctor - all laid out.
