It's often said that costume designers are a faceless group of people. But we can contribute to fashion in a way that might be new and different.

I think more and more that I get to challenge myself and kind of raise the standard for myself every season. Even the term 'fashion' is about change. It's about newness. And what that newness means is different every 10 years, every five years.

Unless I'm asked to dress up in a costume, TV shows prefer a clean, modern look, so I've developed a wardrobe full of plain, bright colours. If it's an outdoors job, I just wear big jumpers.

Fashion allows you to be whoever you want to be.

My first ambition was to be a show jumper. I did a bit of dressage as part of it, and the dressage trainer saw me and said, 'Why are you wasting your time with the other stuff? You should be concentrating on this.'

For each episode the five of us are all wearing clothes by the same designer. It's a different designer for each episode, but for each one we're all wearing their clothes.

Fashion has always been a repetition of ideas, but what makes it new is the way you put it together.

My mom and both of my grandmothers have always been into fashion, so it's been around us our whole lives.

When Fashion Week ends, I miss the shows and the shot of adrenaline that comes with them. Each day is a new show, a new fitting, and you make new friends. Every season you get to know the other girls a little better.

Fashion appeals to everyone... Everyone gets into it.
