I like to write about women, not so much about the way they relate to men, but about the way they relate to each other. And I don't think anyone's really doing it.

I am interested in writing how women really feel, how they really think, and how they respond to men. I don't want men reading my books because they might find out too much.

As a male writer, women are always what men pursue, and their world is always a mystery. So I always tried to present as many views as possible on women's worlds.

There are roles out there and women out there that are fascinating to me, and there are things in our culture that I see that I want to express. It's my passion to express that.

I always write what feels really true and honest and me.

I try to write parts for women that are as complicated and interesting as women actually are.

I knew I could write infinitely about relationships. That's the most beautiful, most confusing, most rewarding, most heartbreaking thing in our lives - and not just romantic relationships: that's all relationships.

I write about the things I feel strongly about.

I read a piece of writing and within a paragraph or two I know whether it is by a woman or not.

With relationships, I've been through a lot of different situations with different people, and I write about it.
