I know when I am on stage and I'm kind of on the right track - hopefully most of the time. But a lot of time I'm not.

This may sound mad, but you sort of assume that no one's going to watch what you do. You go on set, have a lovely time, and then you forget anyone's going to see it. So it's always a bit of a shock to be recognized. I get terribly embarrassed.

I am always sort of delightedly surprised when someone recognizes me because as far as I'm concerned, I'm just going to work and getting paid to act, and that alone is fantastic; I forget people watch it, too.

I still get recognized. It's flattering, but it can be uncomfortable. Maybe because it only seems to happen when I'm looking and feeling crappy.

When I perform on stage, you have to remember my performance or buy another ticket to the party! In television and film, you can see it over and over again.

I rarely get recognised. It's always a shock when someone notices me. I always think they must be confusing me with someone else.

I'm always surprised when I get recognized.
