I try to write down every song that comes to me, even though I know that every song that comes to me isn't a song that I need to sing.

I have a really hard time writing my own lyrics for this record, because one, I had to write so many and also I was kind of perplexed by the idea of how I was going to sing and play... because at that time, we hadn't really thought about asking someone else.

I want all of my songs to do well whether I've written them or not.

I can't remember writing any of the songs that I've written.
