Sometimes you lose sight of what's going on around you.
It's jarring to go from one amazing experience to another that feels ordinary. I don't quite know how to explain it. You see the uniqueness of what you've been doing, and disassociating yourself from it and going back to the 'normal' life is tough.
You need a balance in life between dealing with what's going on inside and not being so absorbed in yourself that it takes over.
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.
You have to understand that when things go wrong in your life, it doesn't mean you need to quit. It means you need to get stronger and change your plan.
You get tangled up in your own ego of how you're perceived. You can lose your way.
But when I don't smoke I scarcely feel as if I'm living. I don't feel as if I'm living unless I'm killing myself.
You should hurry up and acquire the cigar habit. It's one of the major happinesses. And so much more lasting than love, so much less costly in emotional wear and tear.
Sometimes you have to stop to think, regroup and regather yourself and realize how lucky you are to still be living and to still be breathing and still be able to even have a chance.
