Metal is still the biggest music now in America.

In the past, the greatest weapon the white man has had has been his ability to divide and conquer. If I take my hand and slap you, you don't even feel it. It might sting you because these digits are separated. But all I have to do to put you back in your place is bring those digits together.

The fight still isn't people of colour versus white. It's the people versus the system built to keep us down. That's the first line of the Constitution. And the system is manmade but is made of no man. Everyone, regardless of class, creed, culture and ethnicity can fight the system and help to break it down.

You'd be surprised the type of people who are into metal when you see them. Sometimes I'm even surprised, but it's cool. That's the reason it's still around.

Give metal a chance!

Metallica is a very complicated, fragile thing. On the outside, it's all metal, but on the inside it's very delicate.

It's totally produced now. It's almost like a conveyor belt of what metal's supposed to be like these days. It's not music to me.

Japan has really great fans for all kinds of music. I think they're keeping metal alive.

Apparently, the heart of opposition to new gun regulations is in the white community. Yet white people face far less daily violence with guns.
