The Sand Pebbles has always been one of my favorite films, I suppose because its the most difficult film - from a physical and logistical standpoint - that I've ever made.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
My favorite film is always the one that I most recently worked on.
I like having my hands in the clay. I like the movie-making process.
I think Pebble Beach is kind of a unique place on the planet.
Neil Gaiman's 'Sandman' just rocked my world in the late '80s and early '90s. I couldn't read them fast enough.
I can't swim, and I actually hate sand.
The adrenaline feeling of jumping out of cliffs and bikes and all of that is very specific to the film. In 'Pac Rim' I'm not doing that so much. There isn't that touch stonework for me in it, but there is a lot of action.
I've always been really into action movies. Since I was little, that was my favorite type of film.
Movies are written in sand: applauded today, forgotten tomorrow.
I would say that my favorite action film is the 'Die Hard's. They're kind of perfect, I think.
I love action films, and to be able to put together 'Silver Hawk' was so exciting.
