I'm never a person who likes anything I've done. It's just the way it is. Twenty years later, I can look at something I did, and I'm still thinking, 'You know, that could have been better if you had done it this way or that way.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I always had a few people who liked what I did, and that was enough.
I've never really been somebody that thinks too much about what I've done.
I always think, when there's stuff that people don't like, I always say that if I have another success, I'll enjoy it more, but you don't really.
I don't know what I've done that has made people so interested in me, more than anyone else.
I like doing things that people wouldn't necessarily think I can do.
I've always done whatever I felt like, even if it was really inadvisable.
I like everything a certain way. I'm not somebody who can just lay back and let it happen... And I think that's what's gotten me to where I am in life.
I'm the kind of person that likes what I'm doing when I'm doing it.
I can look back at stuff I wrote in my early days and squirm at some of the mistakes I made. But we're all learning every day; we never stop. I just hope people keep on liking what I do. That gives me such a kick.
It's funny because I think, as a general rule, that people seem to think that if you do lots of different things over the course of, like, a timeline, it means that you kind of disregard what you did before. But that's not true of me. I still genuinely like everything I did as much as I liked it when I released it.
