I always wanted to be an actor, but I always loved design, and growing up in New Orleans there was such great style, great architecture. I would decorate my little apartment in New York over and over again, because it only had a couple of rooms. And I did it for friends and family on the side just for fun.

My passion was to be on Broadway and to be part of this community because I saw what it was like from the outside as the young kid in and around New York, and I would see things like the 'Easter Bonnet' or 'Broadway Bares,' things I would sneak into.

I would be nothing if it wasn't for the town where I grew up and the people who gave me my inspiration.

With 'Harry Potter,' I've been all over the world. I probably wouldn't have gone to New York so young if it weren't for the films.

By going to the movies, and because of other things, too, going to college, making a wide variety of friends, moving around traveling, I became a lot more open-minded than the heritage I was born into might have suggested.

I love 'Harry Potter.' I'm a huge nerd - I would dress up if I could.

I could see myself in some sort of pioneer bonnet, it's my childhood fantasy, but I think I look too Jewish for the prairie.

I relished the opportunity to be on Broadway... It's the holy grail for people like me.

I would really have liked to have gone to Broadway with 'A Streetcar Named Desire.' I was proud of that.
