My respect for animators and animation directors has gone way, way up and it is just not something you can phone in.

I was always into cartoons and animation.

I grew up, obviously, watching tons of animation; Saturday morning cartoons or anything that we could get our hands on. And then when 'The Simpsons' premiered, that just kind of changed the landscape of everything. We hadn't had prime time animations since 'The Flintstones.'

I miss animation very passionately. Not continuously, but every once in a while I would die to do another film.

Especially in the last 10 years, the writing on animated shows has jumped by leaps and bounds.

What I love most about animation is, it's a team sport, and everything we do is about pure imagination.

The people that are fans of animation are really the people that are keeping the art form of animation alive. If you like cartoons, support the cartoons.

Very few people have made the transition from animation to live-action; I'm certainly not one.
