Hollywood is like living in a weird bubble. A bunch of people take care of you and get you stuff, and you're the center of that little microcosmic world. You start believing that it is real and... you deserve it.

One day, you're a nobody, and the next, you're in a movie that everybody is talking about. But Hollywood has a way of knocking you back down to Earth.

Most of the stories I read are about my Hollywood pedigree.

We all tell our own stories the way we live our lives. My story is: Life is too short to not believe in fresh voices. I don't have Hollywood stars. I have great American artists.

This is my one beef with Hollywood: It's great for movie sales, but they've created this fiction for us that, when you have a hard thing in your life, it's going to get fixed, and then your life will be awesome! Forever!

Some people make movies for money or glory and will take any subject people offer them. But I cannot do that. I need to feel the story and make it mine.

I have no connection with Hollywood. I'm not interested. I don't care.

We are not the originators of the story. I think it's actually the opposite when you're an actor. You're telling somebody else's story.

Actors sure have stories. We always have stories. At the end of our careers, all we have to take with us is our stories, and we have many of them.
