I'm disappointed that Senator DeWine once again chose to go along with his party leaders and their big corporate lobbyist supporters. Ohio deserves a Senator who will be more than a rubber stamp.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I love working for the people of Ohio, and I have a lot more work to do as their senator.
One thing I will commit to the people of Ohio is, when I'm a U.S. senator and there's issues being debated in Washington, when I'm a U.S. senator they'll know exactly what my position is.
I will not vote for - and no senator should vote for - anyone who will not render justice impartially.
I must say I am not pleased to have to arrange the Senate schedule around the availability of Senators who are running for President.
He was my favorite senator... I love him. He made the liberals squeal.
We are here today because of grass-roots conservatives all over the place. That's the way the democratic process is supposed to work. It's not supposed to be a bunch of guys in a smoky room in Austin picking the next Senator.
Before being elected to Congress, I was a mayor, and it's this perspective that makes me certain that Ed FitzGerald is the right kind of leader to get Ohio back on track.
I'm very happy where I am: I'm a senator from Ohio.
I am disappointed that Senator Ayotte has voted repeatedly for deep cuts in Pell Grants that would make college more expensive for thousands of New Hampshire students and voted against allowing young people to refinance their student loans.
Unlike Obama and the Senate Democrats, I respect the will of Wisconsin's voters.
