I don't know if I'm going to be any good at sevens.

I have accomplished everything I set out to accomplish when I started playing the sport at 7. And probably even more.

Most of the stuff I try in a game, in the moment, I have supreme confidence I'm going to execute it.

So my game is solid. So that obviously makes me feel confident, that like anybody else in this field, you name them, I feel like I've got the ability to win the golf tournament just as much as they have, and that's the way I'm going to take it.

What I went through in 1976, it's the same today: It's about all the pressure that you feel, the anxiety, the family, and everything that surrounds the Games, and then getting there knowing this is your big chance, and you're able to come through. It's such a satisfying thing.

If I win seven tournaments in a row, I get so confident I'm in a cloud. A loss gets me eager again.

Confidence is the most important single factor in this game, and no matter how great your natural talent, there is only one way to obtain and sustain it: work.

I think confidence is a big part of it. Also luck - the ball has got to fall for you in the right time and the right place.
