I'm a big fan of 'National Geographic', the magazine and the channel. Anything to do with the natural world. For years, when I was younger, I was convinced I would be a nature photographer, but that didn't pan out.

All I really wanted to do was wildlife photography.

I'm a documentary photographer. That's what I've always wanted to be; that's where my heart and soul is.

Then, much later, my next dream was to become an astronaut, and I was fortunate to realize that dream, also.

I would like to become a better photographer. I'm working on that.

I dream that someday the step between my mind and my finger will no longer be needed. And that simply by blinking my eyes, I shall make pictures. Then, I think, I shall really have become a photographer.

I liked the idea of being a photographer, just that you take this one picture of this one thing that'll never happen again - it's a bit weird when you think about it.

My dream was to be known as a writer and to be able to produce at least one book that would be read by people. That dream came true with the publication of my first novel - and all the rest has been a sweet bonus.
