I have a fond place in my heart for Seattle, so I hope that an NBA team comes back to this great city, this great sports city.

Don't get me wrong; it's not like I didn't go out and have fun. But there's been a lot of players that come to New York and get caught up in the lifestyle, and before you know it, they're sent away to another team because it affected their performance.

When I played in the NBA for 12 years, Seattle had some of the best fans in the NBA.

I never get used to going out and seeing 20, 30,000 people that are there to see us play. It's kind of surreal.

That whole rivalry with the fans is not something that I can pay attention to right now. This is my new home, and whatever I can do to help out Seattle is what I need to do.

Traditionally, Seattle has been a great sports town and great football town. What the Huskies have achieved over the years has been pretty amazing. That's how I got my first taste of football - when I went with my father to Husky Stadium.

It's a lot of wonderful things about the Bay area and Oakland that I absolutely love. I wouldn't change being from there by any stretch.

And Seattle isn't really crazy anymore. It's a big dot-com city.

I grew up in Seattle, but I always knew I wanted to leave.
