Maybe some people thought I was 'safe' so they didn't really bothered to vote for me at all.

I felt disconnected from the decisions made in Washington and, to be honest, really didn't think my vote mattered because I didn't have a direct line of sight from my vote to a result.

As a personal matter, I stopped voting more than a decade ago, on the grounds that it helped me as an analyst not to think about making a choice in the voting booth.

I do think you need to listen to the voters.

Remember, your vote is not a wasted vote. Vote with your heart and think about the future generations the next time you vote.

I'm not a rubber stamp, and people know that. If you can convince me of the merits, you will have my vote every time.
