How can you stop writing?

I suppress the vast majority of what I write.

Writing is sacred, other activities are profane, and I don't want them to corrupt my writing.

The great thing about writing is that it has to work without that invisible layer of the reader's added knowledge.

Protect the time and space in which you write. Keep everybody away from it, even the people who are most important to you.

I don't control my writing - it controls me.

If you really want to write, then shut yourself in a room, close the door, and WRITE. If you don't want to write, do something else. It's as simple as that.
