I think you kind of need to acknowledge that the reason why sequels do well is because people that loved the first one come back.

I hope people will like 'The Conjuring 2' because I think it is a very natural and organic progression of the first movie.

I know the nature of comedy, and you never know what will happen with the next movie or whether people will find it funny.

It's just assumed that a horror sequel is going to be bad. It's never going to be as good as the first one.

When I saw the first I couldn't believe I was in another great movie that would be made into a trilogy. This movie is quite visible and I think it will stand the test of time. I think kids and parents will love this movie for a long time.

'Troll 2' is one of the rare sequels where you don't have to waste time watching the first one, since the films have absolutely nothing to do with one another.

If a remake is not good, no one wants to see it and, again, it doesn't hurt the original.

An established property can be a blessing and a challenge. On one hand you have all those fans of the original that you can pick up with and continue on with but then you have a lot of people out there who haven't seen the first and might feel like this isn't a movie for them because of that.

I can't make a choice to do a movie because people will go see it. People look at what a movie becomes and decide if they'll see it.
