Most senators are just going to work and trying to do a job.

Senators, like everyone else, want to feel a part of this decision-making process. They want to feel included.

Senators will do what they think they need to do to represent their constituents.

If you are a Representative and want to be a Senator, you must be careful not to do anything which might upset the various forces you need to harness to get elected.

A majority of senators should be able to adopt rules at the beginning of each Congress.

Let there be no reservation or doubt that I believe the Senate should vote on each and every judicial appointment made by the President of the United States and that no rule or procedure should ever stop the Senate from exercising its constitutional responsibility.

If you had to put people, senators - if they had to go for their V.A. to get care, it would probably get fixed.

Every member of Congress deserves a seat at the table to be involved in the process. I will continue fighting for this to become a reality in Washington, and will be running for speaker of the House.

I must say I am not pleased to have to arrange the Senate schedule around the availability of Senators who are running for President.

I believe being a good senator requires two things. Number one, acumen. Number two, interest.
