I like to make music because it's fun to do and it makes me feel good, but I have no desire to be a huge pop singer or anything like that. I just like to make it.

I like what it is to sing, or to be with the others singing, to make music, but the fuss and all the things that are the exterior part of a career, has never interested me.

For me, music is sort of my passion, more so than being an actor. I just never tried to make a career as a musician. It was just something that I did on my own time, just for me. I had written a lot of songs, but I don't really record a lot of music because, for me, it's the same way as a poet: I write to get things out. It's sort of cathartic.

But I really believe that you don't do music because you want to, you do it because you have to.

Music is a hobby, because I'm not making any money out of it, but I put just as much conviction into that as I do into my acting.

If I could be a musician, I'd do it. I love singing.

I didn't get into making music for the fame aspect. There are people who do desire that.

Obviously, I want to sell records, but I do it because I find it therapeutic. In music I can be myself.

Music will always be my No. 1 passion, but I don't have to be doing it professionally. It's not really about that for me anymore. I feel like I don't have to look at it as a career. I can just rest in it and just be.

I'm not like my siblings, who are musical but can turn their hands to other professions! I'd always wanted to be involved in music - I'm a great believer in doing things that fulfil you.
