There are a lot of people who can slide on talent their whole lives; they're just naturally gifted. I've never considered myself one of those people. I enjoy outworking the opposition.

As artists, we do the work that we do. Receiving an award or not receiving an award in no way diminishes one's talent or value.

I deserve attention not because of any talent, but just because of who I am.

I think it's easy for people to assume that fame is equal to glory, but it can be a very isolating experience.
