It doesn't take me long to write songs.

Some songs go super-quick; some take a really long time.

Songs seem to take me a long time. I don't know why; they're not especially excellent for taking so long.

I'm free to make music - I'm sitting on about 40 or 45 new songs that I can't wait to put out.

Most of the time, songs that I write end up being finished in 30 minutes or less.

I had to go into a studio and compose and write and press up 12 songs in 14 hours. When you're recording a song from scratch it takes you 14 hours to do just one song.

Everything needs to be catchy because a listener is either going to stay with the song or lose interest in the first five seconds. But people also like those songs they can relate to and say, 'Yeah, I went through that.'

It usually takes me 20 to 90 minutes to write a song because once I start, I don't stop. If I start writing a song, and you try to have a conversation with me, you're a bad person.

So many good songs get written fast, because you know exactly what has to work.

You can make a hit song in 15 minutes. I don't know about someone else's song, but songs that people like of mine, I've created in 15 minutes or less.
