It's very easy for people to put out music.

The tricky thing is music is supposed to be very mysterious; the way it's made is mysterious. Then people like to get upset with the music business.

But the greatest thing about music is putting it out there for people to figure out. You want the listener to find the song on their own. If you give too much away, it takes away from the imagination.

So the thing is to put out music for music's sake.

It is easy to write unthinking music.

Music has a way of getting under your skin.
