The key thing with any football player is, what can he do when he gets on the field.

Once he had selected the path he was going down he really had to stick with it in a 16 game match. He had to try and hit in the one direction but unfortunately for him - though fortunately for me! - he hit in the wrong direction.

But Pete had the desire to play at the highest level for so many years. That is very difficult, mentally.

When you play against different people from all walks of life you can't do the same thing against every player defensively or offensively. You have to change up the way you go at a player.

There's a tacit understanding among clubs that a good player shouldn't miss out on the big break of his career or a chance at exponentially improved earnings.

The reasons why a player is better on one club than on another are many. I certainly am not an expert and can't explain.
