'Buried Alive' is a little scary, but also a comedy at the same time.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I do like Burial; he's so curiously clumsy, you can't help but be moved. It's so un-Hollywood, and the rhythms are so un-danceable.
Alone is a much better film than House of the Dead and better than most horror movies out today.
Any film which views the darker side of life, which is death with a sense of humor, is very much to my taste.
'Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead' is one of the most underrated films. There were even different cuts of it. A wonderful film.
Dying is easy. Comedy is hard.
I've done a lot of death cartoons - tombstones, Grim Reaper, illness, obituaries... I'm not great at analyzing things, but my guess is that maybe the only relief from the terror of being alive is jokes.
A good horror movie - it doesn't matter how many comedy horror films there have been before. Doesn't matter how much you think it's going to be funny. A good horror movie will scare the hell out of you... the moment you sit down and you start being exposed to that story, it's going to freeze your blood.
There is something irresistibly funny about a funeral. More basically, I think the point is that beyond the deepest tragedy, there is laughter. Even in the midst of tragedy, there is always the possibility for it.
There's scary stuff in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark.' There's some really nasty skeletons and dead bodies.
I liked 'Deadwood.'
