I'm usually pretty good in front of a live audience. I usually like that.

You have to be aware of what the audience's expectations are, and then you have to pervert them, basically, and hit them upside the head from a direction they weren't looking.

You either entertain an audience or you don't.

It's tricky, performing the show live. Because when you're in a big auditorium, in front of 700 people, the natural tendency is to want to talk louder. You want to project.

Performing live in front of an audience is such a matter of will - all of those things you can do just fine in your basement, suddenly you have to do them in front of hundreds or thousands of people, and it becomes a different matter entirely.

I do an improv show on Sunday where we have a class, and then afterwards we go and do a live performance in front of an audience.

Treat the audience with respect and maturity, and have a certain faith in them to catch up.

You instinctively discover how to entertain an audience.

There is always something wonderful about a live audience.
