It was such a joy to be an actor on 'The Wire.'
Sentiment: POSITIVE
'The Wire' was a combination of great TV and great theater.
Frank Sobotka in 'The Wire' on HBO was one of the greatest characters I've ever played. They cut his throat at the end of that season. There's something about creative coupling that seems to go with great characters, and the fact that you can never play them again once you're done.
Once I found acting and found that I could get away with it and make a living out of it, I was thrilled.
One of the things I enjoyed the most is just working as an actor.
I love 'The Wire;' that's my favorite show, so I'll watch that.
I started directing on 'The Wire.'
As an actor, I was just satisfied to work.
You know, there was not much wire work for any of us actors to do because the extent of what they did was so huge. I mean, they wouldn't just throw you from this table to that wall.
I always wanted to be a great actor.
I remember watching 'The Wire,' because I absolutely adored 'The Wire,' and there were so many secret layers within that drama, and it was just fantastic.
