I like to take a character and develop it.

I try to create characters that I am fascinated by on some level or intrigued by or can't stand.

I try to write characters that are as real, emotionally and psychologically, as I can make them; I feel the same way about setting. This often means that I'm drawing from my experiences and observations.

I love making characters real and believable, through my own experience and choices.

I also try very hard to create characters - both heroes and villains - with psychological depth.
