Art is inspiring. Walking into a gallery, or when the lights go up on a stage; that thrill of getting something that has nothing to do with acquisition.

All art at a certain level is entertainment. We go to a tragedy by Sophocles to be entertained.

Art is great. At its best, it engages the intellect and challenges the spirit; it connects us across history and reminds us of our humanity.
